Characteristics
We stock all the elements necessary to construct your heartwood door & window shutters. this material is kiln dried to around 12 % & machine planed. The Shutter Boards are avaiable in two qualities, Standard & Deuxieme Choix.

- Larch Shutter Flaps : 22 mm x 45 mm
- Douglas Cross Members : 35 mm x 95 mm

Deuxieme Choix Shutter Boards are 25 % cheaper than standard. They will have a higher percentage of knots & thus are the perfect choice for painted shutters. If you would like a photos of the two qualities please do not hesitate to contact us here
Finishing
Douglas heartwood shutters require no treatment nor protection & can be left in their natural state. Nevertheless they are suitable for a wide range of finishes: wax, oil, varnish & a range of ecological paints.
