Exterior Thermal Insulation
External Thermal Insulation (ITE) encases your home in a natural insulation & an aesthetic timber cladding finish.
An ITE is suitable for all types of construction, but is especially suited to natural stone & modern brick or breeze block buildings.
The technique harnesses the thermal mass of the original building, keeping the heat within by adding the insulation layer outside with the added bonus of a contemporary or natural finish. Many clients describe the experience as akin to having a new home.
An external timber frame can be fixed to the existing walls & additional perimeter foundation, followed by the insulation, rain screen & cladding.
Unlike interior insulation there is no reduction in living space & thermal bridges are all but eliminated.
